Welcome to Fisk Therapy
Women’s Mental Health Therapy in British Columbia
I’m glad you’re here!
Does this sound familiar?
I'm fine... But I'm always second-guessing myself.
I'm fine... But I'm also really tired.
I'm fine... But I don't know if this is what I want anymore.
I'm fine... But I'm struggling to set boundaries.
I'm fine... But my relationship is making me spiral.
Your Well-Being Matters.
Your Well-Being Matters.
Feel better inside. Not just on paper.
You might be used to holding it all together. At work, in relationships, and everywhere in between. But beneath that capable exterior, you might be silently feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or simply not quite yourself.
I’m here to help you understand what’s going on behind the scenes and find deeper fulfilment in your life today.
About Heather
A therapist, a coach, and a woman of many things
I’ve always been fascinated by people: what makes us tick, how we connect, why we repeat certain patterns, and what helps us feel more like ourselves. My path to becoming a therapist has been less a straight line and more a series of plot twists, taking me through marketing, coaching, Human Design, non-profit work, and plenty of seasons of overwhelm, burnout, and figuring things out as I go.
Today, I bring all of those experiences into my work. My favourite party trick? I can happily chat with you about astrology and Human Design one minute and sit with you in the deep, messy stuff the next.
My Approach
Therapy should fit you. Not the other way around.
You’re not a checklist, and your therapy shouldn’t feel like one.
We’ll take a look at what’s going on, what you need, and what actually feels helpful, drawing on evidence-based therapies, somatic and mindfulness practices, and a trauma-informed, relational approach that’s tailored to you. There will be vulnerable moments, honest conversations, and hopefully a few giggles, too.
Bonus points for making therapy something you actually look forward to.
The non-negotiable part? Creating a space where you feel safe, cared for, and comfortable being fully yourself.
EMDR
Sometimes, insight isn’t enough.
You can understand something intellectually and still feel stuck in the same patterns. Sometimes your brain gets the memo, but your body hasn’t quite caught up. EMDR can help process difficult experiences and emotional trauma in a different way, while other approaches support nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and reprocessing.
Come As You Are
It’s chic to let curiosity be your compass.
Sometimes, you don’t need a neat explanation for why you’re here. You might simply know that you’re ready to explore what’s next, understand yourself more deeply, or approach something in your life a little differently. There’s room for all of that here.
I work with women who are navigating things like:
Feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, or just plain tired of carrying it all
Wanting more for yourself and your life, even if you’re not quite sure what that looks like yet
Big life transitions, plot twists, and figuring out what comes next
Relationship patterns, dating, breakups, and learning to ask for what you need
Boundaries, people-pleasing, and getting a little better at putting yourself on the list
Anxiety, depression, or feeling like your brain is working in overdrive
Processing past experiences or wondering if there’s more to a pattern than meets the eye
Feeling like you’ve outgrown an old version of yourself and figuring out what comes next
Moving through grief: whether you’re grieving a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or what could have been
You’ve got the capable thing down.
Let’s make space for everything else, too.
